Dzemma Arutunian was born in 1933 in Yerevan, Armenia, she grew up in a warm and lively household with her two sisters and brother, raised by her loving parents, Knavorik and Husik. From a young age, she had a passion for the arts, which led her to complete high school and then pursue theater studies at the University. After graduating, she went on to work at the Hakop Paronyan Theater, where she poured her creativity and talent into her work, carrying her love of performance throughout her life.

In 1970, she met the love of her life, Zhirair Tifekchian, and together they built a beautiful family with three sons: Arthur, Hakop, and Benjamin. Her home was always full of energy, laughter, and love. She had a gift for humor, always telling jokes and lifting the spirits of everyone around her.

In 1998, she and her family migrated to the United States, where she continued to embrace life and cherish her growing family. She became a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, who were the joy of her later years.

She was known for her elegance and style—always dressed up, never seen without her makeup, her nails done, and her jewelry perfectly in place. To her, looking her best was not just about appearances, but about showing dignity and pride in every stage of life.

In 2022, she endured the heartbreaking loss of her beloved husband, Zhirair, after more than five decades together. Despite her own health challenges, she faced life with strength. For five years, she bravely battled dementia before peacefully passing away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, and a woman whose humor, grace, and spirit touched everyone she met.

Ջեմմա Հարությունյանը ծնվել է 1933 թվականին, Երևանում։ Մեծացել է ջերմ և կենսուրախ ընտանիքում՝ իր երկու քույրերի և եղբոր հետ, սիրող ծնողների՝ Կնավորիկի և Հուսիկի խնամքի տակ։ Մանկուց ուներ արվեստի հանդեպ մեծ սեր, ինչի շնորհիվ ավարտեց դպրոցը և շարունակեց ուսումը համալսարանում՝ թատերագիտության ոլորտում։ Ավարտելուց հետո աշխատանքի անցավ Հակոբ Պարոնյանի թատրոնում, որտեղ իր ստեղծագործական տաղանդն ու սերը բեմի հանդեպ ամբողջությամբ դրսևորեց՝ այն կրելով ողջ կյանքի ընթացքում։

1970 թվականին հանդիպեց իր կյանքի սիրուն՝ Ժիրայր Տիֆեքչյանին, և նրանք միասին կառուցեցին գեղեցիկ ընտանիք՝ երեք որդիներով՝ Արթուրով, Հակոբով և Բենիամինով։ Նրանց տունը միշտ լի էր աշխուժությամբ, ծիծաղով և սիրով։ Նա ուներ հումորի բացառիկ զգացում․ միշտ կատակներ էր անում և բարձրացնում շրջապատի տրամադրությունը։

1998 թվականին ընտանիքի հետ տեղափոխվեց Միացյալ Նահանգներ, որտեղ շարունակեց վայելել կյանքը և սրտաբաց սիրել իր ընդլայնվող ընտանիքը։ Նա դարձավ վեց թոռների հպարտ տատիկ, ովքեր նրա կյանքի վերջին տարիների անսպառ ուրախությունն էին։

Նրան ճանաչում էին իր նրբագեղությամբ և ոճով․ միշտ բարեկազմ, երբեք առանց դիմահարդարման, մանիկյուրի և գեղեցիկ զարդերի։ Իր համար գեղեցիկ լինելը միայն արտաքինի մասին չէր․ դա արժանապատվության և ինքնահարգանքի դրսևորում էր կյանքի յուրաքանչյուր փուլում։

2022 թվականին նա կրել է անասելի կորուստ՝ իր սիրելի ամուսնու՝ Ժիրայրի մահը՝ ավելի քան հիսուն տարվա միասին ապրելուց հետո։ Չնայած առողջական դժվարություններին, նա կյանքին դիմագրավեց ուժով։ Հինգ տարի քաջաբար պայքարեց դեմենցիայի դեմ՝ մինչև խաղաղորեն վախճանվեց՝ թողնելով սիրո, ծիծաղի և տոկունության ժառանգություն։

Նրան կհիշեն որպես նվիրված կնոջ, սիրող մոր, սրտաբաց տատիկի և այնպիսի կնոջ, որի հումորը, շնորհքն ու հոգու ջերմությունը դիպչում էին բոլորին։
